President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday attended, in Yerevan Mall, the official opening of the first Armenian branch of the world-renowned French Carrefour hypermarket chain.
The initial lease for this hypermarket space in Armenia’s capital city was signed on May 13, 2014, and Sargsyan and French President François Hollande—who was in Armenia at the time on a state visit—were on hand at this event.
After Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and Carrefour Armenia Country Manager Christian De Nale formally opened the hypermarket on Wednesday, President Sargsyan and the invited guests toured Carrefour Armenia.
